Catching up with our Practice Manager of the Year

Premier Patient Line visited St Giles Surgery, Camberwell, on Thursday 15 June 2017 to catch up with last year’s well-deserving Practice Manager of the Year winner Mrs Cindy Mootoosamy.


Cindy has been continually making strides to improve St Giles Surgery in many ways, creating a fantastic workplace for her colleagues and an innovative surgery for the benefit of the patients it serves.

Practice managers all over the UK were recognised for their outstanding work and efforts and Premier Patient Line celebrated these successes with the Practice Manager of the Year Award.  Nominations were fiercely judged on criteria such as management skills, strategic thinking, innovation, effectiveness and tangible results.  Nevertheless, Cindy stood out amongst the competition and was proclaimed Premier Patient Line’s Practice Manager of the Year in September 2016 after receiving the most nominations from her fellow Practice Managers across the country.

Cindy commented, “I was extremely happy to be announced as the Practice Manager of the Year as for me this symbolises a great achievement.  After years of hard work and commitment in general practice, I have made successful and sustainable changes to my practice.  I am always looking for opportunities to keep St Giles Surgery moving forwards and hope to bring in some new technologies and processes very soon to further improve our efficiency and enhance the patient experience.”

Director of Premier Patient Line, Neil Redding, said, “It was great to see Cindy again last week and hear her plans to further develop the practice.  We were delighted to be able to reward Cindy for her ongoing hard work and desire to remain at the forefront of Practice Management”.
